HOUSE OF MOVEMENT
House of Movement is the creation of two young local women, Jorja and Olivia, who first met while working together at Olivia’s family business: Australian Precision Technologies (APT), just a few doors down from their new studio.
Olivia explains, “We didn’t know it then, but that job at APT, and the people in it would come to shape the community we’re building now.”
So what began as a work friendship became a personal and business one with both women having long held a dream of creating a wellness space that was different. A space with heart, community, and variety and where movement was a lifestyle that felt inclusive and accessible and affordable.
It was during a conversation at the funeral of Rudy, Olivia’s uncle and Jorja’s long-time friend at APT that the two young women bonded further in their views about gaps in the health and fitness industry: the high costs, limited variety, the transactional nature and the often intimidating atmosphere for beginners.
And so, the House of Movement was born with a mission to bring variety, connection, and joy back into the way we move.
“We kept hearing the same things,” says Olivia. “People wanted variety — Pilates, Yoga, Breathwork, but without needing three different memberships. They also wanted somewhere that didn’t feel exclusive or performance-based.”
With Olivia’s background in Project Management and Jorja’s experience as a certified Pilates Trainer, the pair converted a warehouse into a functional, welcoming space. The studio was carefully designed to be open, light-filled and neutral, removing some of the pressure and intensity often associated with group fitness.
“We wanted it to feel human,” Olivia says. “We kept thinking — what would make someone walk in and instantly feel like they belonged here, even if they’ve never stepped foot in a Pilates studio before?”
The result is a studio that’s not just about movement, but about mood. There’s space to sit and breathe; to stay after class and chat. To feel like you’re part of something, even on the days when you don’t feel like yourself.
Today there is greater awareness of the importance of movement for ongoing health and wellbeing, particularly as we grow older and the programs offered at House of Movement are designed for all stages of life.
On offer is a mix of Reformer Pilates, Hot Pilates, Yoga & Hot Yoga as well as Breathwork sessions, with more class types planned for the future. Each session is guided by certified trainers and open to all fitness levels.
Pilates offers a number of benefits that make it suitable for a wide range of people: Whether you’re recovering from injury, returning to movement after childbirth, or looking to build strength and flexibility in a low-impact way, the sessions are adaptable to your needs.
THE FOLLOWING ARE WEEKLY CLASSES:
• Reformer Pilates – foundational classes focused on mobility, posture and control with strength-based and cardio-based class styles for those seeking variety.
• Mat Pilates & Hot Pilates – rhythm-based sessions for conditioning and strength in the warmth of our heated rooms.
• Yoga & Hot Yoga – suitable for all levels with the variety of yoga classes offered for stretching, lengthening and reconnection to the mind and body.
• Breathwork – guided sessions supporting stress relief and nervous system regulation.
Recognising the value of collaboration, founders Jorja and Olivia created a flexible, hireable space that welcomes like-minded businesses looking to offer health and wellness services. Whether workshops, treatments, or pop-up events, the goal is to broaden the community’s access to holistic care under one roof. It’s an open invitation for local practitioners to connect, collaborate, and contribute to a more integrated approach to wellbeing in the Casey region. House of Movement set out to create a space that removes barriers — not just physical, but practical and financial too. From class pricing to partnerships, every decision is grounded in the belief that movement should be accessible, flexible, and inclusive.
Jorja says “These aren’t just features — they reflect the values we felt working at APT all those years ago. We started with: inclusivity, community, and long-term wellbeing. And it’s movement, made more accessible for the communities of Casey”.
“We’re not trying to be the biggest studio — we’re focused on creating something meaningful for all communities of Casey: space where people feel seen, supported, and safe to show up exactly as they are. If we can help someone move better, feel better, and connect more deeply with themselves and their community — then we’re doing what we set out to do.”
