Relay for life

IS COMING TO THE CITY OF CASEY AGAIN THIS NOVEMBER.

The Cranbourne-Narre event will be held on the 16th and 17th of November at the Casey Fields Athletics Track.

Cancer survivors and carers are the guests of honour and will be treated to an afternoon tea inside the pavilion just after the Opening Ceremony at 3.45pm. The rest of the participants will begin their 20 hour journey, walking laps of the athletics track to signify that cancer doesn’t rest and neither will they! There will be live entertainment showcasing plenty of local talent, as well as food trucks and activities for the kids. The closing ceremony at 12 noon on Sunday is a celebration of all the hard work of the participants and awards are given for fundraising, best dressed, best decorated and the Spirit of Relay.

Cancer Council Victoria’s Relay for Life runs in communities across Australia and the funds raised go towards Cancer Council’s vital research, prevention and support programs, many of which help people in your community every day. Relay for Life sees the community come together to support each other in a fun and moving way. If you haven’t been to Relay save the date, or better yet register a team to take part!
