LANG LANG GOLF CLUB A GREEN OASIS

TUCKED AWAY IN LUSH BUSHLAND, LANG LANG GOLF CLUB OFFERS UNPARALLELED NATURAL BEAUTY
AND A WARM WELCOME TO PUTTERS OF ALL AGES

Just half an hour from Cranbourne, along coastal highways and rolling farmland, Lang Lang Golf Club sits behind unassuming gates set off the South Gippsland Highway. The dirt track and bushy entrance are an understated invitation into a hidden world of scenic wonder and a golf course both challenging and rewarding.

YEAR-ROUND PERFECTION
Professionals and novices alike enjoy Lang Lang Golf Club for its breathtaking views, which can be enjoyed in all seasons. The grounds are built on a sand bank, offering excellent drainage – a sticky issue for many other Melbourne clubs in wetter weather. At the same time, a natural aquifer flows below the club grounds, providing plenty of water to keep the green – well, green – through the summer months.

GROWING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
General Manager Tim Hewitt has over fifteen years of experience in the golf industry, and was the perfect candidate to take over operations at Lang Lang when the position became available some five years ago. With a clear vision for the future, plus the ambition and dedication to pull it off, he has worked hard to build up the club’s assets.

The clubhouse has been remodelled from floor to ceiling, creating a more comfortable, modern space to relax and enjoy a meal.

Out the back, a large undercover deck provides the perfect place to take a break at the ninth hole, grab a drink and a bite to eat, and catch up with friends. Outside, the course itself has seen extensive upgrades to provide a top tier golfing experience.

Tim has also bolstered the club’s fleet of motorised golf carts, now standing at 20 strong, with plans to bring in even more to cope with growing demand.

A NUMBERS GAME
While many clubs around Melbourne are feeling the effects of a turbulent economic climate, Lang Lang is seeing a membership boom thanks to a winning combination of wallet-friendly membership fees and high quality course. Players across all generations and playing ability are flocking to the rural resort, with putters under thirty at the fore of a renewed interest in the sport.

For those who have never swung a club, there has never been a better time to tee off. Golf has more to offer than meets the eye. As a low-impact sport it’s accessible to a wide range of people of all ages and abilities. It provides an opportunity to slow down, relax and enjoy a breath of fresh air, while working in some gentle exercise as you stroll across the green and engage your upper body with each hit. It is also a great social experience, and Lang Lang prides itself on its friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Bookings are recommended, particularly on weekends.

HEALING THE LAND
General Manager Tim Hewitt takes land stewardship seriously, and the results are already paying dividends. The local kangaroo population has doubled over the last five years, wombat numbers
have soared, and the surrounding environment has never been healthier.

However, Tim hasn’t finished yet, with plans to plant a further 2500 native trees and shrubs in the coming decade, as well as working with Landcare to identify and remove non-indigenous plants. For Lang Lang Golf Club, it’s just part and parcel with maintaining the magnificent grounds they call home.
