Co-owner of the Paradise Valley Hotel Mark Protheroe has an impressive résumé spanning more than 20 years in the hospitality and wine industry. With a genuine passion for excellent customer service and quality produce, Mark began his sommelier training in the wine-growing region of Beechworth. His journey took him to England and Scotland, before returning him to Melbourne. Along the way he worked in a wide array of venues from beach-front cafés to restaurants boasting three Michelin stars.

Mark is well-known as a highly professional and knowledgeable expert on the global wine scene. With a world of experience under his belt, Mark is probably the best-placed person to share the hidden delights of a wine region he believes is well worth uncovering.
