EVERGREEN EXPERIENCES
You can enjoy a variety of experiences depending on your interests and need for social interaction. Residents are offered a range of social activities and it is up to you if you want to participate. Residents can experience line dancing, happy hours, pool tournaments, bingo, high teas, welcome lunches, listening to authors talking about their books,
fashion shows, market days, the Spring Racing engagement and then there is the solitude of the library. These are just a sample of the large range of activities that have been made available to residents.
AUSTRALIAN COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
There are many community groups located around this great country of
ours. These groups share many and varied passions interests and activities.
We have all heard about groups who have a love of art, reading, hiking,
crafts, cycling, volunteers, who help out others less fortunate people. We saw the volunteer fire service battling bush fires to help others and in so doing placing themselves in harm’s way. There are the volunteer emergency service organisations that pick up communities and broken homes following cyclones and other natural disasters. These are examples of some of the community groups but there are many others. They all share one element that stands out – the amazing sense of community. Some of the well-recognised benefits that this brings is improved personal wellbeing and mental health. Another benefit is the importance of having a purpose. You cannot put a price on these
